The Jewish Studies poster has been updated and hopefully includes all information needed.
The labels are the same as for JS books in StoryWorld to maintain consistency between the two sites.
Individual Festivals are all labelled with the stickers and sit on the shelf together, regardless of whether Non Fiction or Picture Books.
If you find that a particular Festival is not labelled individually, check the High HolyDays shelves as they will be there.
A Red stripe on the spine labels denotes Jewish content.
How we decide where a book belongs. - As with cataloguing rules, if the book covers two topics, a decision is made that whatever is covered first in the book or which content is greater. then the book be shelved with that particular topic.
For example : we have a book that discusses Purim and Pesach.
If Purim is discussed first that is the label we place on the book.
However if the majority of the content relates to Pesach, it will be labelled and shelved with Pesach books.
If you feel that a book should be in another, already existing group, please have that conversation with Emilie and it will be taken into consideration.
Please keep within existing labels, as we will not be increasing the already large number of labels.
Remember you can borrow books from the main Library, as we are one library service.
