First activity of the year will be...Chinese dragons to celebrate the start of Chinese New Year. There will be a limit of 20 students to the Makerspace for this craft session.
Students spent 2 weeks creating a variety of clay buttons for this project before painting them and glueing them onto our base. Cre8tion Hub was a hive of activity for this project and we were so proud of their finished work. This is now on display in our Wellbeing section of the library.
This week in conjunction with the solar eclipse that took place on April 8 the students drew their own images of a solar eclipse using chalk on black paper and smudging the edges.
To follow up from last week's activity, this week will inspire more freedom to be creative with chalk art galaxies. This activity will allow the use of more colour, glitter, stars, paint spatters or whatever other ideas students may wish to employ.
World Environment Week is a great opportunity to encourage the children to create their own diorama depicting a scene of their choice which reflects an element of the various environments they come across in their lives. For this activity we had a full house and plenty of enthusiasm.
